| Important Info |
El Numero 8 is located in a very historic labyrinth like pedestrian neighbourhood. All access to the house is on foot through cobblestone streets. Due to this there is a pick up process that is involved in getting to the house where we meet you at a certain point where buses and taxis can get to and we walk you to the house from there. It is about a 5 minute walk downhill from the pick up point to the house and there are many steps to go down so we recommend if possible that you bring luggage that can be carried for your own convenience.
Instructions on getting to the pick up point using various means of transport are described on this same page.
There are three arrival times you must choose from upon making your reservation. If your arrival is later then these times due to airplane schedules, etc. please communicate this on reservation to make the necessary arrangements.
- 1 pm – 1:30 pm
- 5 pm – 5:30 pm
- 7 pm – 7:30 pm
Even after having chosen one of these pick up times you still need to give us a call when you have arrived in Granada and are on your way to the pick up point.
Please respect the time you have scheduled with us because we have to organize our day around the pick ups and are offering this as a free service.
You will be very surprised as to how close El 8 is to everything and how far modern civilization feels when you are here!

Via Public Transport to Granada
Madrid. If you are coming from Madrid International Airport take the metro or taxi to Avenida de Americas Bus Terminal and then take a bus to Granada. Train is slow coming from Madrid and not recommendable. The bus website is www.continental-auto.es
Malaga. If you are coming from Malaga International Airport the best way to come is via bus. The bus website is www.alsinagraells.es
Barcelona . If you are coming from Barcelona International Airport, you can take another plane to Granada's domestic airport, or take a fast train to Madrid, and then bus to Granada. Bus directly from Barcelona is very slow and expensive. There are also trains but you need to reserve far in advance. Train website is www.renfe.es
Sevilla . Other than by car, you can trake a train or a bus. The bus website is www.alsinagraells.com
Granada (Domestic) Airport . From Granada Airport (18 km. south of Granada) take the airport-to-Granada bus which is only 3euros a person or take taxi to El 8. Taxi is usually around 30euros.
Granada Bus Terminal . Once you arrive at Granada Bus Terminal, you can catch a taxi or a city bus, follow directions on this page. Becuase you have to change buses, the taxi is not much more expensive and is worth the extra Euro or two.
Granada Train Station . Once you arrive at Granada Train Station (Renfe), you can catch a taxi or a city bus. Due to having to change buses it is much easier to take a taxi, and not very different in price either. There is no bus leaving directly from the train station, you have to walk down the street to Avenida de la Constitución to catch it. Follow directions for city bus or taxi on this page.

...car
Arriving to Granada in a car may be convenient but driving around in the city is far from that, it becomes a frustration almost immediately. Parking is also getting very expensive in the underground lots. Anyhow, most of the historic area, where El 8 is, is almost entirely pedestrian so you wont be needing your car whilst in Granada. Do yourself a favor and leave your car as soon as possible and leave the traffic behind and enjoy the tranquility of the world by foot.
Below you will find directions to Parking Severo Ochoa. Parking Severo Ochoa is your cheapest and easiest option. It has a week fee of 30euros which is cheaper then paying by night at any other parking garage. Be sure to ask for this on arrival as the daily fee is very expensive.
It is the closest to the highway which means easy to get to and easy to leave from. It is not in walking distance to the house so you will have to take a taxi from there to the pick up point. There are other garages in Granada and you are free to park wherever you wish, but beware, the further you take your car into the city the more time you will be in your car and most likely frustrated if you do not know your way.
If you prefer to leave it on the street, the best areas are around Paseo del Salon, Barrio la Chana or Barrio Zaidin (directions not included here and leaving your car on the street is at your own risk and not recommendable). Regardless of where you decide to leave your car you need to call me when you have parked and are on your way to Aljibe de las Tomasas ("Al-heebay de las Toe-masas"). It is also known for being the bus stop to get to Restaurante El Agua. From here we will take you down to the house. (0034) 958 22 0682 / (0034) 610 32 22 16.

4)After you have parked you need to head back to the street you came from and catch a taxi to Aljibe de las Tomasas ("Al-heebay de las Toe-masas)" also known as the stop to go to Restaurante El Agua. The people at the garage can call a taxi for you.
